BMW R 100 GS 45k Full MOT a real headturner New Tyres Serviced and ready for Adv

  
1989 BMW R100GS 45k Years MOT just serviced. I bought the bike last year after successfully giving up smoking.... I have since reignited this terrible habit and the deal is Beatrix the GS has to go. This bike has been incredibly well looked after by its previous owners and I have kept this up.

The history is extensive and paperwork to prove. It just flew through a MOT and was serviced about 1000 miles ago with plugs, valve clearances, air and oil filters. It has a few age related marks on the bike (photo'd) but is a dream to ride. The metal work could do with some polishing up which i will do when I have time When I bought it and rode it 330 miles home I noticed that the rear drive was a little noisy further investigation showed that the driveshaft needed replacement, I sourced a BMW unit from Motorworks, and changed with new stretch bolts and replaced the bearings whilst all was apart, I replaced the original battery with a Oddessy Gel Unit at the same time and gave it a service 100 miles later the previous owners temporary repair on the speedo drive failed, I used this opportunity to spend more and upgrade to the amazing Siebenrock GS2 tach. This is an amazing unit and has been very well received.

The standard clock is also supplied. It has upgraded front internals and a \Hagon rear shock The bike already had a big brake kit fitted which works exceptionally well but the pads weren't amazing so I changed them for EBC units which have made it twice as good and five times better than the factory unit. It also was fitted with a Y piece in the exhaust which makes it sound amazing. I got a reproduction sump guard from BMW and braced the rear pannier rack.

Finally got some Barkbusters to replace the standard hand guards. I have all of the original parts to be supplied with the bike so it can go back to standard if desired. Its just had a new set of Heindau Mitas Tyres and new tubes. I have also hard mounted a givi bag to the rear rack to hold my lock and to carry my beer, unfortunately the seat lock and steering lock never came with a key, I have the steering lock replacement (unfitted) and the rear bag as well as being useful hide the latch for the seat lock.

I was going to get a locksmith to build a key to the lock but never got round to it, also unfitted I have a ndew seat cover given to me by the previous owner in the standard blue and white. This is the 3rd aircooled GS I have owned, I have never met so many people with a bike before.
